Many factors. Many cases. Many causes.
What is condisered child abuse? Are we now too sensitive to the issue or are we rolling it over our shoulder without a care.
Is it obesity?
Is it over-exposure to drugs or alcohol?
Is it not caring for the children? ...Or is the obvious? Abuse. Hitting. Punching. Put-downs.
These factors are all arguable, however, the bruises on children, on the outside and inside, are hard to hide. Some are beneath the skin. The second-hand smoke the children inhale everyday could be considered "differant. It's almost like progressive abuse, gets worse overtime.
Many causes and factors of child abuse.
But what exactly are those? For some people, it's absolutely impossible to put themselves in the shoes of the abusive person. They could never imagine posing such pain to the child.
What we must consider, is sometimes, the parents or guardians of the child don't all mean to harm them. But want to make them content. This is where obesity could tie in. Giving the childern food to make them happy isn't uncommon, quite obviously, I mean, let's take a trip to the real world. On the other end of the spectrum, these people could be too lazy I mean "busy" to make their children nutritious food, or, real food.

Child abuse and neglect: DRUG ABUSE.
Child abuse is more than broken bones and bruises. While this physical abuse is the most visible and obvious sign, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse or child neglect also leave deep, long-lasting scars. Some signs of child abuse, however, are more subtle than others.
Drug abuse by parents, I think, should be considered child abuse. I'm aware, however, that most parents aren't intentionally trying to harm their children. But are so hooked on this drug that they don't really have the choice. They need it. They live on it. Their children breath it in and are exposed to it. But they can't help it.

BULLYING!
BULLYING? Children hating on other children? Teens? Young Adults? Whatever you want to them, is bullying child abuse? LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK AND I"LL GET BACK TO YOU WITH AN ADDITIONAL BLOG!!!!!
Poverty and Children.
I have done recent blog posts on this topic but I feel that I havnt said everything that I thought about the topic. I think that I wasn't quite considering the extreme conditions that even the parents are put in. They do everything they can for their children and can't control their environment or governement system. The children are, quite easily said, the farthest thing from lazy, spoiled North American children. Despite ovbious poverty in North America, it's nothing like in some regions like parts of Asia and Africa.

CHILD ABUSE AND OBESITY??
It's no joke, despite the humor that many try to make out of "fat kids". It wears away at their self-esteem, they have troubles breathing and doing simple day-to-day activities that kid's should be able to do! Like sports, and whatever else city kid's enjoy doing! Parents have to be more strict with their children and not to give in to their pouty, cute faces when they ask for cookies before dinner. Although children are growing and have a "speedy" metabolism, saturated fats and countless chemicals found in comfort foods are unfortunately, not easily processed through our systems. Even children's. Of course, the occasional McDonald's treat is a nice treat however allowing this to become a 'heavy issue' isn't all that acceptable, in my opinion completely.

THE RESULTS OF MY RECENT BLOG POST!
Remember my last blog, posted an approximated 10 minutes ago? Well, it's taken to effect! My very abusive peer, Kyle [he has granted me permission to use his name], has read my blog, done what it has suggested and is already much happier and has an immaculate increase in respect for himself. He is no longer living in his gray world of abusing all of his favorite stuffed and/or taxideremied cows, but has now moved along the straighter, more pure path of taking his revolting anger in the virtual world. I'm no expert, however, am considering applying for a premature job as a councilor to help abusive parents.Taking my maturity, there is no way they couldn't accept me.
Enjoy
